Sierra Hospice
"Making Final Moments Matter"
|
The Labyrinth |
 |
The
Sierra Hospice Labyrinth will be an integral part of the Hospice
Memorial Garden now under construction on the gounds at Seneca Health
Care District in Chester, California.
Located in the wood lot at the rear of the Memorial Garden, the
Labyrinth will provide space for quiet contemplation, inspiration and
healing.
A
Labyrinth is an ancient walking meditation tool that offers a path for
remembering, celebrating life and quiet contemplation.
A
Labyrinth has one path with no dead ends that winds to and from the
center leading the participant on a journey of self discovery through
prayer, meditation and contemplation.
Labyrinths have been used in cultures and religious traditions around
the world for thousands of years.
Labyrinths have been called the "divine imprint",
never-ending circle", "mirror of the soul", "ever-turning path"...
"the
end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the
place for the first time." ~ T. S. Eliot
We are raising
$10,000 for this project.
Please make note on
the donation form that your donation is to go to the labyrinth.
